History on Wheels: A Local Town Event
Detroit residents are gearing up for the electrifying 4th annual car show, History on Wheels, set to ignite on July 13, 2024, weather permitting. In the event of rain, fear not, as July 14th is reserved as Plan B.
For just $15.00, you can secure your spot in this event that kicks off at 10 a.m. and revs up until 2 p.m. Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the iconic Grosse Ile Naval Air Station, located at 9601 Groh Road on Grosse Ile. Foodies, rejoice, because there will be an array of mouthwatering options waiting for you, from savory delights to sweet treats, including an ice cream vendor that’ll have you screaming for more.

Brace yourself for a spectacle of classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles that’ll make your heart race. And if that’s not enough to get your engines roaring, there will also be model trains and planes on display, courtesy of some of the finest collectors around. The Yankee Air Museum is rolling in with a C-47 airplane and a Huey helicopter, while the Selfridge Air Force Base is sending a helicopter gunship to take the excitement to new heights.
