Susie Armiak – Top Realtor® 2023

After 25 years in the construction business, Susie Armiak’s new career in high-end real estate is off to a good start.

The Grosse Ile resident is the 2021 MBA Realty Agent of the Year. Her total volume sold was 34 units for $9,155,450 last year. “And this year is looking pretty amazing with a year to date sales volume of 43 units for $12 million,” she said.

Susie Armiak, a local Realtor that also has her builder’s license, enjoys working with her husband, Scott, who is also a builder.

Her previous experience was a good match for her present duties.

“As a licensed builder, I bring a unique skill set that definitely benefits my clients: being available, effectively communicating and navigating them smoothly through the entire process,” she said.

Armiak enjoys working with her husband, Scott, also a builder. She adds that she has found new points of pride as a real estate agent.

“My joy is seeing a need and filling it,” she said. “Being a Realtor® fulfills that as I navigate the buying/selling waters with my clients. I look forward to a bright and long career fulfilling that need.”

Armiak got her real estate license and started her job with MBA Realty in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic set in. She says it was challenging. And the job came with more tests.

“This market has presented its share of challenges. But truly, not enough hours in the day is my biggest challenge.”

Armiak admits that the recent increase in interest rates affects the market.

“But the demand for housing is a constant need, and despite the rates rising, buyers still want to buy and sellers still want to sell.

“Patience is definitely needed if you’re a buyer,” she added. “Sellers may receive multiple offers and, unfortunately, yours might not be the winning one. Knowing what the seller wants is important and can take precedence over offer price. Cash isn’t always king. When you view a property you like, don’t hesitate to make a strong offer.”

S. Brooke MacNee, co-owner, broker, and founder of MBA Realty said with low inventory and high demand, the seller’s market should continue, although it might slow down a bit as it adjusts. Pricing is extremely important.

Armiak’s biggest reward is watching her client’s faces at the closing table.

“Whether we viewed one home or 50, had our first offer accepted or our 10th; this process is similar to running a marathon and it’s wonderful to see them cross the finish line.” Armiak was named MBA Realty Agent of the Month eight times since she became a Realtor and was honored with a President’s Circle Award.
